McKinley Read to Feed in the Minuteman

Thank you to the students of McKinley School! You raised $4,000 to donate to Operation Hope’s Food Pantry by reading 1,123,164 minutes collectively as a school through a year-long McKinley PTA-driven program called “Read to Feed.” In this program, one of the important lessons the students learned was that their small actions can have a big impact. Carla Miklos, Operation Hope’s Executive Director, said “These children set such an example for their peers and the adults in this community. This will really go a long way to help our hungry neighbors.” Sponsors: Headlining Colony Grill – Fairfield, Platinum Andros Diner, Bronze Pullman & Comley, LLC, Garden Catering, Lilac House, Retirement Income Resources and GP Dentistry Fairfield. In kind sponsors: Trader Joe’s-Fairfield,CT and Fairfield Public Library – Connecticut. Photo credit: Kendra Wingate, Fairfield Minuteman
